About Hua Hin

Hua Hin is the oldest beach resort in Thailand and is still getting more and more popular. Why? The answer is easy.

History:
Hua Hin means literally stone head in Thai and is Thailand's oldest seaside resort . 

In 1950 the town gained city status. 
The population is today around 75,000. 

The King of Thailand has his summer palace Klai Kang Won (Far from Worries) here and this make Hua Hin to one of the safest place in Thailand. Hua Hin has never get full international recognition. Hua Hin has still a peaceful and relaxed sanctuary in a picturesque environment that comes with a true sense of historical identity. This is not the place for single men who is only looking for a 24/7 party zone. You find a good nightlife here, but this is not Patayaa or Pathong Beach. This is a place for families in all ages, golfers, beach lovers and other who is looking for a relaxing holiday at first class

Besides the stunning beaches, Hua Hin is known for its fine restaurants, world-class golf courses and laid-back atmosphere. Accommodation ranges from cheap guesthouses to five-star hotels so it should be possible for everyone to find there place to live - also for them who is looking for an alternative to Thailand’s more hedonistic resorts. Hua Hin has a loots of activities and attractions to offer - something for everybody's taste.

The last years Hua Hin has undergoing rapid expansion since rich Thais from Bangkok and Westerners has started look this way for a second home. Many thousand foreigners is today owner of houses and condominiums in Hua Hin.  In the last year alone the town has seen countless housing developments spring up, new golf courses being constructed, a brand new shopping complex and movie theatre been set up. You can say it has been a boom in all kind of local businesses, but the place has still its charm. Hua Hin is still a combinations of a fishing village and a modern luxury beach resort.

Furthermore, the Hua Hin municipality is trying to improve their town and promoting the ambitiously entitled "Paradise City" project. This programmer's goal is to continually enhance Hua Hin's environment, be it cleaner beaches, better parking, more user-friendly officialdom, and a lot more. Such a project is bound to make Hua Hin even more popular with foreign visitors.
